Rockie Rode is the project of New York singer-songwriter Cate Osborne. Her debut album Rockie came out in February, thirteen songs of dreamy, twangy indie that have gotten her compared to Sky Ferreira and Mazzy Star. Start with "Prayin'" and "Forever."
She is part of the AM Radio Collective, and she has collaborated with Zack Villere, who you might know from Dijon's records.
Since the album dropped she has sold out shows in LA and New York and toured with Grace Ives. In November she makes her European debut at the Pitchfork festival shows in London and Paris. It is rare that a debut sounds this sure of itself.
