Quadeca might be retiring, but not from music: the name itself. Ahead of his next album, he told Dork it might be time to retire "Quadeca," the alias he has created under nonstop from ages 11 to 25.

From FIFA videos to visual concept albums
The name carries a lot of history. He started on YouTube in 2012, at eleven years old, making FIFA videos, then pivoted to rap content and blew up off the KSI diss track era in 2018. For a lot of people, that is still the version they picture.
Then came Scrapyard in 2024, and last year Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, a self-directed visual concept album about a sailor chasing the horizon after the apocalypse. He also co-executive produced Kevin Abstract's Blush. The name now holds too many different eras at once, and he would be quitting while ahead.
Why the name still matters
Here is our perspective: we discovered him after the YouTube era, with no idea about any of it. Learning the backstory later, the FIFA videos, the diss tracks, all of it, was honestly inspiring. The versatility and growth across every era is proof that no matter where you start or what you have done in the past, you can still grow into a place you are proud of. That arc IS the story. And there are still so many people who have not found him yet; they would get to discover that arc the same way, same name and all.
But as long as we keep getting music from Benjamin, we are good. Quadeca or not.
